The composite geomembrane is a water-impermeable material made of geotextile and geomembrane composite. It is mainly used for anti-seepage. The composite geomembrane is divided into a film and a film, a width of 4-6m and a weight of 200- 1500g/m2, high physical and mechanical properties such as tensile, tearing and bursting can meet the needs of civil engineering such as water conservancy, municipal, construction, transportation, subway, and tunnel. Because it uses polymer materials and the anti-aging agent is added to the production process, it can be used in unconventional temperature environments.

The composite geomembrane is heated by far-infrared heating on one or both sides of the film, and the geotextile and the geomembrane are pressed together by a guide roll to form a composite geomembrane. With the improvement of the production process, there is also a casting process for composite geomembrane. The form has a cloth one film, two cloth one film, two films one cloth and the like.

The geotextile acts as a protective layer for the geomembrane so that the anti-seepage layer is protected from damage. In order to reduce ultraviolet radiation and increase anti-aging properties, it is best to use the embedding method.

In the construction, firstly, the sand surface or the clay with a smaller diameter should be used to level the base surface, and then the geomembrane is laid. The geomembrane should not be stretched too tightly, and the soil embedded at both ends is corrugated. Finally, a 10 cm layer of the transition layer is laid on the geomembrane. A 20-30cm block stone (or 砼 prefabricated block) is placed as an impact protection layer. During construction, every effort should be made to avoid the stone directly on the geomembrane. It is best to carry out the construction of the protective layer while laying the film. The joint of the composite geomembrane and the surrounding structure shall be anchored by expansion bolts and steel strips. The joints shall be coated with emulsified asphalt (thickness 2mm) to prevent leakage.
