What is the Geomat？
Geotechnical mattress is a new type of geosynthetics. It is made by melting and laying nets of random silk. It has high pressure resistance, high opening density, and all-round water catchment and horizontal drainage functions.
Composition structure is a three-dimensional geomat core, both sides are equipped with needle punched non-woven geotextiles. The three-dimensional geomat core can expel groundwater rapidly. It also has a pore maintenance system that can block capillary water under high loads. At the same time, it can also play a role of isolation and reinforcement.
- Geomats can be used in combination with non-woven geotextiles. The composite structure is buried under the soil layer. It collects rainwater that permeates the soil or sewage discharged by the yard itself. Then, it uses its unique drainage function to discharge from the geomat interlayer in an orderly manner. So that no siltation will be formed. In this way, the possibility of sliding due to water absorption and saturation of soil layer is effectively avoided.
- Geomat not only can drain water, but also can discharge biogas produced by fermentation in soil. So it is especially suitable for landfill.
- When the Geomat is combined with HDPE geomembrane, it can also play a good role in protecting HDPE geomembrane from puncture.
